Headphones: Which One is Right for you

headphones

Introduction

Headphones: I’ve been a fan of Skullcandy Crusher 2014 for years, but I’ve never really been impressed by their products. I’ve always found them to be overpriced and underperforming. The Crusher headphones had some promise, though, so I decided to give them a try when they went on sale for $50 off the MSRP.

Design and Comfort

The Skullcandy Crusher 2014 is an on-ear model with a plastic design, which means they’re lightweight and comfortable. They also have noise canceling, making them great for commuting or traveling.

However, the durability of this model isn’t great. If you plan on taking your Skullcandy Crusher 2014 headphones with you everywhere, it’s worth investing in something made from higher-quality materials like metal or leather.

Bass and Sound

The Crusher offers great-sounding bass and a decent soundstage. It’s not a top-of-the-line headphone, but it’s a solid choice for the price. The bass is punchy, deep, and tight though it sometimes gets a little muddy when you turn up the volume. There are no problems with distortion at higher volumes either; even at maximum output, this headphone delivers clean sound without any harshness or crackling noises.

The soundstage is also quite decent for gaming: You can hear every footstep from an enemy sneaking up behind you in Call of Duty: Ghosts or Battlefield 4, which helps immerse yourself in your game world more thoroughly than listening via speakers alone would do (or worse yet, TV speakers).

Battery Life and Connectivity

The Skullcandy Crusher 2014 is a wireless headphone with 8 hours of battery life. However, you can also use the headphone with a wire if you prefer not to drain your battery as quickly.

You can use this headphone with Bluetooth or a micro-USB cable, which means it’s compatible with many devices, including smartphones and tablets with Bluetooth capability. If needed, you can connect your device directly to the headphones using an included 3.5mm cable.

Conclusion

The Skullcandy Crusher headphones have a lot going for them. The design is cool, and the ear cups are comfortable. The battery life is good but not great, and the sound quality is not terrible. However, if you’re looking for an affordable pair of headphones with clear highs, mids, and deep bass, these might not be your best option.

If you’re willing to spend more money on a nicer pair of headphones that will last longer than the standard three years (and we highly recommend it), check out our list of the best noise-canceling headphones here!

A fun Headphone but not a whole lot More

The Skullcandy Crusher headphones are good but not the best. They have good sound and bass, but not the best. They have decent battery life and design but are not the best. And they’re pretty comfortable overall, but not the most comfortable. So go for it if you can find them on sale for less than $100 (and I know that’s sometimes hard to do)! You won’t be disappointed with your purchase but there’s nothing here that will make you want to tell everyone about these cans or get something like them as soon as possible.

Conclusion

Headphones: If you are looking for comfortable headphones with decent sound and great for all types of music, then the Skullcandy Crusher 2014 is worth checking out. However, look elsewhere if you want more than just average bass and treble with average battery life and connectivity options.
