Because it has the biggest mall in the world, everyone knows that Dubai is a great place to go shopping. But what if you don’t want to look around? What if you think “retail therapy” doesn’t make sense? This Emirati recreation area is great because it (Dubai Adventure) has a lot of fun things to do that don’t involve shopping, malls, barcodes, or changing rooms. So, to show you, here’s a list of our favorite things to do in Dubai: (other than shopping).
Participate in a Desert Safari
Desert Safari Tour is one of the most Dubai Adventure where Sand dunes surround Dubai, so it’s no surprise that it’s an excellent place to stay if you want to see the rolling landscape of the desert. Join a morning dune drive and have an unforgettable time dune-bashing, sand-boarding, and camel-trekking in the desert, or spend the night in a luxurious tent and eat a BBQ under the stars. It’s a nice change from the steel, concrete, and glass that make up the city. The desert is a great place to escape everything and learn more about nature and animals. Check out the many fun things to do in the desert that Arabian D Adventures has to offer.
Go Exploring in Creek
The saltwater Dubai Creek separates the business district of Deira from the historical district of Bur Dubai. Here, you can find a great piece of Emirati history. The Dubai Museum is in a beautifully restored 18th-century fort. Take a walk through Bastakiya to learn about Dubai’s past as a fishing village and trade port. The most beautiful way to cross the stream is in a traditional Abra, a small water taxi with a motor. If you want to make a bigger deal out of it, a dinner cruise is a great alternative. While sailing in a traditional wooden dhow at night, you can see the lights of Dubai.
Watch the Water Show in Dubai
Do you think Las Vegas has the best fountains in the world? I don’t believe it! The famous Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas shoot up 24 stories, but the Dubai Fountain rises almost twice as high. The Dubai Fountain is on a 30-acre man-made lake and has about 6,600 lights that work together in shows set to classical and modern music. Each show sends more than 22,000 gallons of water into the air. This is made possible by the complex design of circles and arcs of different sizes. The best thing about these shows is that they are free.

Have a Sunday Brunch for Yourself
Friday breakfast (another exciting Dubai Adventure) has become a tradition for the ex-pats in Dubai (side note – weekends across the Middle East fall on Friday and Saturday). Hotels, restaurants, and golf clubs often have a lot of food to choose from, like seafood and cheese boards, salads, and roast dinners. Most people think of “brunch” as a casual meal that combines the best parts of breakfast and lunch. However, “brunch” in Dubai means a huge spread of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Usually, the price is about USD $50 per person, including unlimited drinks for the allotted time so that you can wash down that endless buffet with a few glasses of wine or beer. There are many places to go for brunch, so use Gulf News’ complete and often updated list of the best restaurants to find your new favorite.
Skydive Over Palm when you Jump Out of an Airplane
What could be more exciting than jumping out of an excellent plane as it hovers over the beautiful Palm islands in the middle of the Arabian Sea? With the help of a professional jump pilot and a parachute, you can see one of Dubai’s most famous landmarks from above. After reaching an altitude of 4,000 meters, you will free-fall for one minute before beginning a gradual drop of five minutes. Skydive Dubai is the best Dubai Adventure to learn how to dive in the area. If you don’t want to use a parachute, you can take a realistic seaplane ride over Dubai’s skyscrapers, which are getting taller and taller. During your 40-minute ride, you’ll see the marina, the ports, and the whole man-made island from above.
